Former Indian National Army Monument
according to the tour guide, the british indian army is not given same status as the normal british soldiers. not just in the military, but there was social discrimination. which later they fought alongside with the imperial army against the british.
the tour guide was reminding us that this served as an important lesson for the current army to stay united.
My china-born friend was being given names like “chinaman” and people are making fun of him. Some even sing about it. You may think it’s just a joke, but has it ever cross your mind that how hurt he was. I shall not comment more about it.
