WCG2009 grand final warcraft 3 prediction

above is the group draw, the top player of each group is the seed player.
from what i see, the seeded player will top their respective group. probably the only one which may not be so sure is group c, depends on the result between grubby vs who.
assuming none of the players lose on purpose in order to avoid a certain player(s), the below table is the most possible result.

WCG2009 grand final warcraft 3 coming soon

following maps will be used in grand final in cheng du.

  Round 1: Twisted Meadows
  Round 2: Terenas Stand
  Round 3: Echo Isle
  Round 4: Ancient Isles
  Round 5: Turtle Rock

-----

compare to last year, gnoll wood and secret valley changed to echo isle and ancient isles.

secret valley should be included, as most tournaments used them now, quite surprised it's being removed.
as for echo isle being back to the list, i feel it shouldn't be removed to begin with. it's considered 'must-have' maps along with twisted meadows and turtle rock.
terenas stand should be removed, because it's too advantage to human and also night elf. (yes, i play humam >.<) furthermore, it's not commonly used in tournaments now, melting valley is a good replacement. almost every match has melting valley after draft/reverse-draft.
as for ancient isles, it's getting more common. so nothing much to say. except, it's not on Bnet's map!

-----

overall, human has quite a good map choice.
terenas stand considers as human map, while echo isle is not bad for human.

if reverse draft, (from human player's view):

vs orc:
orc player removes- terenas stand
human player removes- twisted meadow/turtle rock

vs undead:
undead- terenas stand
human- turtle rock

vs night elf:
night elf- unpredictable (depends on player)
human- twisted meadow

full players list is not confirmed yet, but here is the participating list.

from china: fly, sky and infi. nothing much to argue about these 3. personally, sky, infi, th000, fly and ted are the top 5 players in china now.
fly,小飞飞, his form this year is crazy, won many tournaments, will he propose to his gf if he win wcg lol? (he won 1st in china's final qualifier).
sky, 人皇, my favourite player, hope he can make it his 3rd WCG title.
infi, 塔魔, very patient, one of the top 3 human in the world. switches race to gain map advantage
th000, 混血人族 - 蛋神,i enjoy watching his match most, although he switches to other races to gain map advantage like infi, they're best friends anyway. i really hope to see him in the final T_T
ted, 中国鬼王 世界鬼王, he's supposed to be undead's biggest chance to win the title, with all korean legendary undead players retired, he's undead's hope. sadly space's condition doesn't allow him to travel.

from korea: moon, lyn and who.
moon, the 5th race, arguably the best and most successful player ever. sadly he still has not claimed a single wcg title, with a silver last year.
lyn, asia's best orc, my favourite orc player. a wcg title will be a good prove to the world that he's in the same tier with moon, sky and grubby.
who, the above 2 are korea's best 2 players, and who is probably top 5.

other star players:
grubby, defending champion, looking to claim his 3rd title as well. but always lose to sky in wcg.
happy, a very good undead player, along with space and ted, the top 3 undead players now.
tod, retired but appear for wcg, watched some of his replays recently, he still has the cut.

some other notable players:
sokol, ciara, dowaq, yaws, sonkie.

notable players who didn't make it to the final:
ted, th000, sai, focus, remind, check, lucifron, demuslim

impression of iras

i shall refer the person who contacts me about the job as person A.

around 1 month ago,
i've consulted person A regarding the temperary job in iras, and we've agreed on the stuff like duration and pay. which starts from 15 oct btw.

1-2 weeks after that, HR from iras called me and asked if i can start work that following week. of course i told them that i am supposed to start on 15 oct, and then HR told me that there's no such thing and asked if i wanna give a pass on the job. i can't start work in sep apparently due to my europe trip.

next day, i was contacted by person A that there's miscommunication and i start on 15 oct still.

not long after that, i receive another call from HR, which kinda same content as the earlier call. and of course i will still give the same answer.

well, person A contacted me after that again and told me it had been settled and start work on 15 oct.

shortly after i return from europe, i saw a sms that inform me to start on 16 oct from person A. so i confirmed and agreed.

this morning, i got another call from HR. and now this starts to piss me off, as i am now told that my work starts on 20 oct. not for the first time, i told them about the earlier agreement! so i told the HR to sort it out with person A before calling me again. HR then told me it will stick to 16 oct AGAIN. as we go into the details, the dress code and pay are different from what i was told earlier on. i phoned person A to know what is wrong with it, and she insisted it's what we agreed on earlier on and it's HR that screw up.

now i told person A to confirm the details with HR and update me.
seems like it's gonna be fun to work with them...

updated at 3.34pm

another call from them, and changes again. the major change is the pay, alot less.
so "NO!" to iras!

which means time to look for another part time.
