there's this bluff half day field trip organised by my unit to visit the marina barrage in the morning.

a pic take from the roof

the model which explains how the whole thing works

the LOL pic. the sun is shining at our face, and Mr. Zhang is trying to tip toe to make himself as tall as me. and this is the final product...

-----

most of our platoon people travelled to plaza singapura for lunch, then some dota, arcade, walk around, and i watched 'the day the earth stood still' with kelvin, nat, jing hao, and edgar.

the day the earth stood still was first film in 1951, and this is the remake. the robot (gort) 's look was kept the same.
anyway, it's the same old thing. it sends the message, "mankind harms the earth, which will eventually cause destruction to it." i've watched quite a number of such movies in recent years.

i was told since young, "we, human, were given the ability and intelligence to rule over other animals and nature. we must be responsible."
"this is not your planet." is THE line in the movie. how ironic, when human kinda rules it and abuses it?

as we all know keanu reeve can't act well, and the character is supposed to be those 'expressionless' type, which just suits him. (remind me of jay chou and initial d)

in summary, it's not worthy to catch it in the cinema.
