OCG (japanese) metagame:
1. DAD beast synchro
the clear cut top deck is DAD (dark arm dragon) beast synchro, and statistic doesn't lie.
it took 1st, 2nd & 3rd place japan national (east), and then 2nd, 3rd & 4th in japan national (west). the deck is stable with lots of deck searching and combo, with no card advantage lost. sound imbalance?
key cards: rescue cat, x-saber, brionac dragon of ice boundary.

2. gladiator beast
with the new cards like chariot & GB gyzarus, this has became the deck to beat.
this deck usually runs with more than 10 traps, and can rush and control, a versatile deck. but the biggest weakness is that, all GB are blank cards unless you tag them out from deck.
key cards: hard to name, as it's a deck of its own. but bestiari and gyzarus sure top the list.

3. tele DAD
i'm playing this deck, basically use emergency teleport and psychic tuners to mix with DAD.
its main combo is coldwave (metagame card) then chain with teleport and synchro then s.summon DAD if you able. quite violent.
the main advantage of this deck is that, it has alot of tech card space.
keycards: coldwave, emergency teleport, DAD

4. lightlord
a very luck base deck, when you've the luck, this deck's rating is more than class-S, probably class-X. basically a rush deck with lightlords, who have good effects as well, then otk with judgement dragon. did i forget to mention honest?
keycards: judgement dragon and.... LUCK

TCG (US) metagame:
1. gladiator beast
unlike OCG, there is no synchro summoning in TCG, GB became the obvious best deck.
although it doesn't have chariot, but it runs with E-hero prisma and test tiger. it tops many national TCG tournaments, and everyone main deck cards to beat it.
keycards: same as OCG GB, but also prisma and test tiger

2. allure DAD
with dimension fusion banned, and return from DD restricted to 1, it's nerfed pretty badly. it used to be all DAD return for top 16, but it's going down hill now. but still you will get owned with DAD x3 in one turn.
keycards: DAD

3. lightlord
same as japanese, it didn't shine much compare to the top 2 decks because it's not stable.
keycards: judgement and 'honestly' you need LUCK.

september's ban and restriction list is coming soon, probably it'll be out in a month's time. just by looking at the keycards you see above, it's really easy to those decks.
restrict DAD, and many decks get nerfed quite badly. as for GB, just take out 1 to 2 key cards, and you can say bye. as for lightlord, i don't know if it's necessary to nerf it. and of course other light base deck which run with honest, e.g. bahamut's national winning deck, but i don't think honest will be touched. coldwave will have a high chance being banned.

IF~ and that is a big 'if', all the above the decks get nerfed and cycle out of the metagame, undead seems like the most promising deck to take over. there're already undead decks in the metagame now, and with OCG 602: crossroad of chaos, undead will get stronger. it's a greedy deck, you get 'free' field and hand.

this morning mog went to his newly posted unit and i received his sms in camp.

"i wudi blur again. so i went to paya lebar aka HQ to report then guess what. the guard tell me HQ 3rd div is yishun firestation... ZOMG even i wanna laugh at myself. so i am now on my way back to yishun with probably extra guard waiting for me being late. nice 1st impression."

i wanna laugh when i read this, really wudi.

and something funny happened on me just now in camp. i have medical appt in NUH in the morning tomorrow, so i'll book out tonight at 5pm. BUT, i forget! (how rare!? a NSF forget to book out!!!) i thought the appt is the day after tomorrow. so yeah, i just reach home. T_T i left the camp at 9.30pm, and luckily my father drived me back since my parents were on the way home.

the only reason i can think of is that i booked in on sunday morning when i usually book in on monday morning after a weekend bookout in every 2 weeks. so i remember the wrong dates as everything has been 'pushed forward by 1 day'

btw... while i was bathing in camp last night, the water pressure is off. so yeah, no water. T_T

going to yew tee

i'll be shifting to yew tee by this year, and my parents are now looking for renovation company. it's bigger than the current one in cck, but my room is still the same size. =(

i plan to buy a TV in my room and of course TV means cable TV and PS3!!! not just that, with my own cable TV means i can wired my com to it and a fridge will be another nice add on. money + moeny + money + money = evil plan.

1. one friend promises to buy me a fridge
2. i should be shifting in around my birthday period --> scam parents
3. probably just need to pay one of the above item by myself.

as for location, it's quite near to yew tee mrt with just 5 min walk, and a new shopping centre is under-contrustion next to the station. i've 3 friends living in yew tee (i think there'll be more if i ask around to check).

1. yong sheng (weiqi buddy) --> just next block! LOL?
2. soon guan (one of my best friend) --> 10 min walk i think, and he's shifting in around the same time as i do.
3. stella (poly/cca friend) --> the other side of the mrt station.

now i've lots of meal buddies since i'm always home alone.

12.30pm (maybe is my brunch), "oi! sg! na bei! still sleep! makan~"
7.00pm (dinner), "everyone, lets meet in lao di fang for dinner"

sometimes when we touch is my favourite song, it is composed by dan hill.
it's quite an old song, but i just love it. i like it because i like it, it has nothing to do with lyric or singer.

i uploaded it as my blog music, but it's not the original dan hill version. this is by olivia wong from singapore who sings in japan. i bought her album, and she re-sings many of the songs i like.
